The school children in Warwick and social service programs have been short changed by Mayor Avedisian for years. We want the children of Warwick to have new school buildings and the disadvantaged to receive the necessary services they require from the city. All of this should be accomplished without raising taxes, if city leadership prioritizes expenditures. Warwick Watch wants to know YOUR opinion... ![]() Tired of going to the city budget hearings every single year, listening to and observing the "powers that be" not make the necessary, required changes to the budget, that results in giving back more to certain members of our community. Your suggestions will make a difference! If you were passing a city budget, where would you look to make reductions so as to avoid raising taxes or borrowing more? Your recommendations will be forwarded to Mayor Avedisian, the City Council Finance Chair Ed Ladouceur, and City Solicitor & union contract negotiator Peter Ruggiero ... so we will not hear the same excuses in May during the budget meetings as to why we need to raise taxes and borrow more. Feel free to post your suggestions/recommendations as a comment under this post, or email Warwick Watch at: contact@warwickwatch.com -- if you prefer to remain anonymous, please indicate so.
