One School Day Resulting In Three Toll Gate High School Students Arrested & Charged With Disorderly Conduct
Warwick police reports obtained yesterday indicate that three, Toll Gate High School Students were arrested on 11/30/2017 and charged with disorderly conduct. As they are juveniles, the identity of the three students will not be made public. According to archived police dispatch calls available online, the three students are all females.
In the police reports, the first incident took place at approx. 10:49 am. Officer Castaldi working as the school resource officer at Toll Gate was notified by Vice Principal Timothy Kane that students were involved in an altercation. Two teachers broke up the fight between the two students and one teacher, Mr. Garno was shoved in the process. One student was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
The second, girl fight incident at Toll Gate took place on the same day at approx. 12:49 pm. Officer Castaldi again responded to a fight on the third floor of building B. Officer Castaldi and the Vice Principal made their way there. The fight was already broken up by a teacher who had one student at the end of the hallway. The teacher who broke up the fight stated that as she was in the middle of a classroom lesson, and one of the students stood up and started yelling and threatening the other student and then threw a cup of iced coffee across the classroom at the other student. The teacher asked the unruly student to leave the classroom, but she wouldn't, and the teacher ended up being hit and scratched by the two students as she broke up their fight. One student also ended up with scratches on her knuckles from punching a wall.
Both students were arrested and charged with one count of disorderly conduct.
