Thinking of Hiring a Contractor? Make Sure To Verify Their Record Via the RI Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board- John Cronin Jr. Cronin Construction
No one wants to be the victim of any contractor that takes your money and runs and/or does shoddy work. I'm unfortunately one of those victims and the contractor was Cronin Construction .
The construction company owner, John Cronin violated a repayment plan agreement following a RI Contractors' and Licensing Board hearing, and then evaded sheriffs multiple times during serve attempts to collect on the debt.
While Cronin was dodging sheriffs, he accumulated another violation against him with another party for a breach of contract. After the second violation, Cronin packed up and fled to MA and continues to do construction projects in that state. Who knows which family or business will be the next victim.
This is why it's so important to verify a contractor's license and insurance status with the state board and research the contractors history as well.
Bad contractors are a big problem here in RI and there are plenty of them in Warwick-- so DO YOUR HOMEWORK, ask questions, verify that the contractor has a valid license and insurance --and that goes for their subcontractors as well!
